Description
Sumner County Government is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified and properly licensed contractors for the Recovery Court Sidewalk Project. The scope includes constructing approximately 875 square feet of sidewalk and ramp with a minimum four-inch stone base, wire mesh, expansion joints, 4,000-psi air-entrained concrete, broom finish, mastic, grading, forming, and site preparation. Contractors must also barricade the work area, remove approximately 30 bushes and other landscape materials, remove and patch railing sections, install 10 linear feet of new galvanized railing at each tie-in point to match the existing style, restore disturbed areas with dirt, seed, and straw, and perform daily cleanup. The onsite garden must not be disturbed. Proposals must include all permitting, labor, materials, equipment, and a 10% contingency, as well as a projected start-to-finish schedule. A site visit with County staff is required before the bid opening. The submission package requires point-by-point responses and applicable licenses, insurance evidence, vendor certifications, affidavits, references, and IRS Form W-9. A construction bond of at least 25% of the contract price is required for contracts exceeding $100,000.
