Description
The Town of Flower Mound is soliciting bids for the Forest Vista AC Water Line Decommissioning project. The work includes decommissioning in place approximately 1,500 linear feet of existing six-inch asbestos-cement pipe, relocating water meters to the right-of-way line, and installing service pipes to customers. Related bid items include water valves, water meters and boxes, private and public water services, bullhead service connections, removal and salvage of a six-inch valve, cutting and plugging the existing water main, traffic control, site preparation, erosion and sediment control, topsoil, sod, and project signage. The contractor must furnish labor, equipment, and materials; maintain water service, traffic flow, property access, drainage, and public safety during construction; coordinate utility locations and service interruptions; and comply with applicable excavation, trench-safety, water-line, traffic-control, and stormwater requirements. The proposal package includes the provided proposal pages P-1 through P-31, including contractor and subcontractor qualifications and experience. The engineer's estimate is $77,000, and the stated construction duration is 45 calendar days to substantial completion and 60 calendar days to final completion.
