Description
The City of Denton is soliciting a contractor for reconstruction of approximately 38,000 square yards of asphalt roadway, replacement of approximately 4,800 linear feet of 8-inch and 12-inch water main, and lining of approximately 1,800 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer main across five neighborhood locations on the south side of Denton. The project budget is approximately $9 million, including construction services, design services, soft costs, and rights-of-way. The selected contractor must demonstrate roadway and municipal utility construction experience, provide five similar projects completed within the last 10 years, identify key personnel and their relevant experience, and submit a detailed schedule and written plan addressing critical-path activities, utility and roadway work, resources, and completion. Safety documentation is required for the offeror and proposed subcontractors, including OSHA and environmental citations, five years of TRIR and EMR records, and fatalities within the last 10 years. Evaluation weights are 40% price and total cost of ownership, 25% schedule and written plan, 20% similar-project experience, 10% key personnel, and 5% safety record.
