Description
The California High-Speed Rail Authority is soliciting bids for tree removal and disposal services on approximately 43.04 acres of Authority-owned orchard parcels in Fresno and Kings Counties. The work covers approximately 3,400 peach trees, 706 pistachio trees, and 513 pomegranate trees at three specified parcels. Contractors must provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision, safety gear, planning, protective measures, reporting, transportation, disposal, and cleanup. The contractor may perform either flush-cut removal or full stump and root-ball removal, with possible disking, off-site grinding and legal disposal, and optional on-site grinding and debris cleanup, as approved following environmental inspections. The scope also includes removal of orchard hardware such as wires, posts, and irrigation equipment. A valid California C-49 Tree and Palm Contractor license is required, along with applicable subcontractor licenses and, when applicable, Department of Industrial Relations registration. The agreement is expected to run from November 1, 2026, or contract approval if later, through October 31, 2027, with one optional 12-month extension. A 25% Small Business utilization goal and 3% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation goal apply.
