Description
The Charter Township of Chesterfield is soliciting bids for the furnishing and installation of eight new commercial-grade overhead door operators at Fire Station #1. The operators must be suitable for high-cycle, frequent-duty fire-station use, compatible with the existing doors and electrical service, and include motors, mounting hardware, adjustable limits, overload protection, emergency manual operation, and compliant entrapment-protection equipment. The contractor must remove the existing operators, install all required controls, wiring, conduit, safety devices, and related components, perform necessary inspections and minor adjustments, coordinate work to minimize disruption to emergency response operations, and complete testing and commissioning. The scope also includes on-site personnel training and closeout documentation, including manuals, product data, wiring diagrams, warranty information, maintenance recommendations, model and serial numbers, replacement-parts information, and applicable permits or inspection approvals. Three references for comparable projects and a bidder's warranty and manufacturer's labor-and-material warranty are required. Bonding is not required; insurance is required for the work, including general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, umbrella or excess liability, and related coverages.
