Description
The City of Mount Clemens is soliciting bids to rehabilitate one 120-foot-diameter covered final clarifier at its wastewater treatment plant. The work includes furnishing and installing a new clarifier drive unit, rebuilding the existing drive unit as a spare, replacing the center column, drive cage, influent well, scum and skimmer assemblies, truss and plow components, suction header, manifold, weirs, baffles, and related stainless-steel and galvanized hardware. Existing bridge components are to be reused and reinstalled, and the new and existing components require abrasive blasting, coating, painting, inspection, adjustment, and testing. The scope also includes inspecting the clarifier floor, removing failed or delaminated epoxy coating and loose material, repairing cracks or deteriorated concrete as needed, protecting the outlet pipe, and applying a wastewater-immersed-service coating or lining system. Bidders must provide the proposed repair and coating method, product data, surface-preparation requirements, thickness, cure requirements, warranty, and any bypass or downtime assumptions. The solicitation requires relevant product data and shop drawings, at least 10 similar clarifier rehabilitation projects completed within the past 10 years, references, insurance documentation, and the specified affidavits and certifications.
