Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Administration, Waco Regional Office is procuring office furniture, accessories, and ancillary storage units, along with delivery and installation services. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary components for assembly and installation, coordinating deliveries and installation times with the VA Point of Contact, and ensuring all work is performed on government premises in accordance with applicable regulations. The scope of work includes on-site management, meeting incoming delivery vehicles, unloading, checking for damages, and moving items to desired areas. The contractor must also provide product warranties and final drawings with part numbers. They will be responsible for any damage to the building during delivery and installation, including performing a pre-installation walk-through and protecting building finishes like walls, floors, and elevators. Cleanup and disposal of all waste materials are also the contractor's responsibility. Installation requires an experienced on-site supervisor, compliance with all building codes, and adherence to installation hours during regular business hours. The contractor must also ensure parts are checked at the factory prior to shipping to avoid delays and touch up any nicks or scratches on the furniture. Upon completion, the contractor must correct any deficiencies, ensure compliance with Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards, and remove defective products. All minor deficiencies must be corrected within 72 hours, and other listed items within five working days, with weekly updates provided. Post-installation services include coordinating disposal activities and cleaning furniture surfaces. The specific furniture items include various components for workstations, such as worksurface cable management baskets, counterweights, offset clamp-on outlets, vertical wire managers, open frame legs, modesty panels, antenna desk tops, electric height-adjustable table bases, credenza tops, pedestals, rectangular worksurfaces, and cabinets. The finishes specified are primarily Medium Metallic Grey for paint and V1 Techwood Veneer in Blond Maple for laminate tops and cases.
