Description
The Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms to provide internal auditing services. This is to ensure compliance with Texas Administrative Code, which requires an independent management audit every five years or the establishment of an internal audit office. The scope of work includes performing assigned internal audit engagements covering financial, operational, compliance, IT, and governance processes. The selected firm will also conduct risk assessments, identify control deficiencies, prepare audit workpapers, and draft audit reports. Specialized expertise in areas such as IT, cybersecurity, data governance, engineering, construction, procurement, payroll, HR, or regulatory compliance may be required. The firm will not assume operational or management responsibilities. Respondents must be Certified Public Accountants or Certified Internal Auditors with at least five years of auditing experience and must adhere to professional standards, including those from the Institute of Internal Auditors and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards. The contract term is one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms.
