Description
The City of Hood River is soliciting sealed bids for Project #661, involving replacement of an existing catch basin and associated storm drainage improvements beneath and adjacent to an elevated sidewalk. The work includes excavation; installation of an ODOT Type 3 catch basin, a 48-inch storm sewer doghouse manhole, and 12-inch storm sewer pipe; controlled low-strength material backfill; temporary shoring and protection of existing improvements; erosion, pollution, and traffic control; construction surveying; Keystone wall work; asphalt and gutter removal and replacement; grading; and surface restoration. Bidders must submit the supplied bid forms, required certifications, qualification information, a bar-chart work schedule, bid security equal to at least 5% of the bid, and the required first-tier subcontractor disclosure. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract price, acceptable insurance, and a $30,000 public works bond before commencing work. The project is subject to Oregon prevailing-wage requirements, contractor registration requirements, and a two-year workmanship warranty.
