Description
Dawson County Board of Commissioners is soliciting proposals for comprehensive, on-call geotechnical services supporting County construction and development projects. The scope may include soil borings, test pits, subsurface exploration, geotechnical analysis and recommendations, geotechnical and engineering reports, materials sampling and testing, special inspections, laboratory testing, and engineering consultation. Additional services include testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and steel; field density, penetration, compaction, slump, air-content, and compressive-strength testing; NPDES inspections and stormwater sampling; daily field reports; documentation of testing and inspections; and reporting conforming to applicable ASTM and AASHTO standards. Assigned engineers and geologists must be licensed in Georgia, and firms must demonstrate relevant government experience, staffing, laboratory capabilities, inspection certifications, and the ability to meet required response and turnaround times. The initial contract runs through December 31, 2027, with four additional one-year renewal periods available.
