Description
Cobb County Department of Transportation is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from qualified engineering consulting firms for a project-specific, multi-phase contract covering design of a new pedestrian and bicyclist bridge adjacent to the existing Factory Shoals Road bridge over I-20. The project includes a 12-foot shared-use path with barriers, connections to existing sidewalks, and associated roadway improvements. The scope includes surveying, concept development, public involvement, environmental documentation and studies, roadway and bridge design, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, right-of-way plans, geotechnical services, utility and drainage plans, erosion and sedimentation control plans, final construction plans, cost estimates, GDOT coordination, and construction-phase support. The prime consultant must hold specified GDOT prequalifications, while the prime or subconsultant team must collectively satisfy additional GDOT area-class requirements. Phase I requires a Statement of Qualifications; shortlisted firms may later be asked for a technical approach and may be interviewed.
