Weber State University is requesting qualifications from architectural and engineering firms for the design of an approximately 7,000- to 8,000-square-foot science field station at 3471 Red Rock Road, Island Park, Idaho. The selected firm will provide architectural services including design, specifications, assistance with qualified contractor selection and bidding, architectural construction services, and post-construction services. The scope includes coordination with local planning and permitting authorities; site utility planning; septic-system planning and design; drilling a water well; and consideration of roof snow loads, snow shedding, and the short construction season. Respondents must be properly licensed in Utah, have at least four years of experience, commit to making the project their number-one priority, and submit a letter of transmittal, statement of qualifications, project schedule, and required prerequisite and questionnaire responses. The statement of qualifications must address firm viability, relevant experience, assigned personnel, similar projects, expertise, schedule and budget performance, design quality, project approach, team structure, and references.
