Description
Montana State University is soliciting a single prime contractor to perform safety upgrades to a four-story parking garage. The work includes adding metal screening to fill gaps in the existing garage screening and installing a seven-foot-tall fence on the top level using metal grating on a steel frame. The scope also includes demolition of existing guardrails, new aluminum bar-grating panels, structural steel posts and rails, post-installed anchorage, welding, painting, and related coordination with existing gates and concrete structure. Bidders must submit the provided Bid Proposal Form, including the base bid, list of subcontractors, addenda acknowledgment, contractor registration information, and authorized signature. Projects valued at $150,000 or more require bid security equal to 10% of the bid price; the successful contractor must provide 100% performance and labor-and-material payment bonds. The work must be substantially complete by June 20, 2027, and is subject to Montana prevailing-wage, resident-employment, insurance, safety, and construction-submittal requirements.
