Description
The City of Gastonia seeks bids for electrical improvements to the existing East Blower Building at the Long Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Work includes furnishing and installing a new switchboard to supply soft starters, blower control panels, and associated electrical equipment; installing conductors and related components; removing existing equipment; and modifying the existing facility to integrate the new equipment. The contractor and electrical subcontractor must hold the applicable North Carolina licenses. Bids must include the Contractors Pre-Qualification Form, bid security of at least 5% of the proposal (cash, certified check, or qualifying bid bond), and a letter from the bidder’s insurance representative confirming the insurer has reviewed the contract insurance requirements and will issue the required policies if awarded. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond for the full contract amount. Award is to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
