Description
Cleveland County Water seeks qualifications from professional engineering firms for four interconnections with the City of Shelby water system. The project is intended to improve system redundancy and resilience following hurricane-related damage. The selected firm will provide design engineering and project management consulting, quality assurance and value engineering, construction feasibility review, cost estimating, and scheduling. The firm must be licensed in North Carolina and have relevant public-sector water distribution interconnection experience; the solicitation specifies a minimum of five years of experience and qualified personnel across several engineering and project disciplines. The selected consultant is expected to assist with USDA Rural Development funding applications and related processes, including preparation of a Preliminary Engineering Report consistent with USDA requirements. The response should include firm and team qualifications, relevant project experience and references, assigned personnel, technical approach, management and quality plans, and a proposed project schedule. The proposal is limited to 10 pages, excluding the cover letter.
