Description
The City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department is conducting a Request for Information to gather industry knowledge, technical capabilities, and operational best practices for a shared micromobility program. The contemplated services include shared pedal bicycles, e-bikes, e-scooters, adaptive vehicles such as handcycles, trikes, and wheelchair attachments, fleet operations and rebalancing, parking and geofencing management, maintenance, customer support, safety and accessibility programs, community engagement, special-event support, and integration with regional transportation systems. Respondents are asked to describe organizational capacity, comparable municipal program experience, operating and maintenance practices, vehicle and battery specifications, data and privacy capabilities, pricing and affordability programs, adaptive-vehicle integration, sustainability practices, and expansion strategies. The City is considering expansion of the operating area by approximately 20 square miles, including approved phases totaling 11.32 and 9.3 square miles. This RFI is for planning and information-gathering purposes only and will not result in a purchase or contract award.
