Description
The City of Phoenix Public Transit Department is soliciting comprehensive cleaning and maintenance services for approximately 868 bus stops without furniture, 3,202 bus stops with various furniture, and 16 transit facilities consisting of transit centers, park-and-rides, a shopping center, a central station, and an office building. Services include scheduled debris removal, pressure washing of transit pads, sidewalks, furniture, receptacles, platforms, walkways, bus lanes, and adjacent areas; trash and liner replacement; graffiti and sticker removal; disinfecting and cleaning transit furniture, restrooms, glass, kiosks, vending machines, water fountains, and other facility surfaces; painting; minor maintenance repairs; lighting inspections; carpet care; filter replacement; gutter and canopy cleaning; power sweeping; floor stripping and sealing; and poster installation. The scope also includes emergency hazard response, additional services when authorized, legally compliant waste disposal, work scheduling, electronic work-order tracking, and weekly and monthly Excel reports. The contractor must provide sufficient personnel, a superintendent, field supervision, cleaning vehicles, equipment, safety and traffic-control materials, a local office in the Phoenix metropolitan area, and 24-hour emergency availability. Workers requiring facility access are subject to standard-risk background screening, badges, keys, and related security procedures. The solicitation evaluates cleaning approaches, staffing and equipment, worker safety, key personnel, prior commercial pressure-washing and cleaning projects, issue resolution, organizational capacity, supervision, and pricing. Pricing is submitted electronically through the procurement portal.
