Description
The City of Santa Monica is soliciting competitive proposals from eligible nonprofit organizations, hospitals, health care institutions, and educational institutions for programs addressing identified community needs through its Human Services Grants Program. Eligible services may support children and families, older adults, people with disabilities, people experiencing homelessness, and other vulnerable or low-income populations. Proposed programs must use best practices or evidence-based approaches, define two to five performance indicators, provide participant and service information, and demonstrate accessibility, partnerships, equity practices, operational capacity, and financial soundness. Grant agreements are expected to run for four years, from July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2031, with annual funding contingent on available funds, satisfactory performance, and City Council approval. Applicants must submit separate proposals for each program, including a program plan, program budget/demographics/performance workbook, eligibility documentation, organizational and financial records, monitoring reports, applicable policies, and required certifications and disclosures. Approximately $9 million annually is projected to be available across eligible programs; individual awards are not specified.
