Description
Collin County, Texas is soliciting sealed quotes from qualified prisoner transport firms to provide intrastate and interstate prisoner transportation services for the Collin County Sheriff's Office. The selected contractor will be responsible for picking up prisoners from any location within the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii, providing security during transport, and delivering them to Collin County or returning them to their original pickup location. The contract will have a one-year base term with three optional one-year renewals. The estimated annual value is $25,000, with historical transport volumes provided for informational purposes only. Bidders must demonstrate compliance with FMCSA regulations, provide proof of satisfactory audit rating, and show an affidavit of performance moving at least 1,000 prisoners in the last 12 months. Transport personnel must meet specific qualifications including training in first aid, CPR, and security procedures. The selected vendor must operate 24/7, provide at least two officers per transport, and ensure proper restraint and care of prisoners, including meals and medical care as needed.
