Description
The City is soliciting a lump-sum bid for a fresh air improvement project at Building 949. The work includes removing the existing air-handling equipment and related components, furnishing and installing a new packaged water-source heat pump dedicated outdoor air system with energy recovery, and completing associated ductwork, piping, electrical connections, controls, and building management system integration. The specifications identify a United CoolAir model as the basis of design and state that equivalent substitutions may be proposed subject to the solicitation requirements. The contractor must coordinate work in the occupied building, test and balance the HVAC systems, demonstrate operation, and provide required warranties and closeout materials. The bid response is submitted through the electronic bid system and includes required online attributes and three specified forms. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, are required with the signed contract after award, not with the bid.
