Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to perform annual Category 1 and Category 5, including five-year load, inspections and certification services for the vertical lift systems at the VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System. The equipment includes passenger and service elevators and a cart lift, with hydraulic and geared systems. Inspections and tests must comply with applicable ANSI/ASME, NFPA, federal, state, local, and manufacturer requirements. The contractor must provide qualified inspectors, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and related services; coordinate inspection schedules with the Contracting Officer’s Representative; document deficiencies and emergency conditions; and provide inspection reports, certificates, testing reports, and permits. Inspectors must hold current ASME-QEI certification, satisfy Nevada requirements, and have at least five years of certified elevator-inspection or relevant field experience. The contemplated performance period is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with four one-year option periods through December 31, 2031.
