Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is soliciting bids for the prevailing-wage modernization of Ansari Business Building Elevators #1 and #2. The work includes renovation of the existing elevator machinery, controls, and cab finishes. The contractor must keep one elevator in service throughout construction to maintain access to all floors. The estimated project cost is $318,000 to $418,000, with liquidated damages of $500 per day. Required insurance, if awarded, includes commercial general liability, business automobile liability, workers’ compensation, pollution liability, and installation floater coverage. Work is scheduled to begin December 7, 2026, and be completed by June 4, 2027, subject to change by the owner.
