Description
This opportunity concerns an amendment to the existing Stage II Fire Ban in Teller County, Colorado. The amendment, effective at noon on June 9, 2026, modifies restrictions on open burning. All other Stage II Fire Ban restrictions remain in effect. Specifically, Paragraph 3 of Resolution 03-20-2026 (11) has been replaced. The new language allows the use of gas, liquid, or propane fire pits, barbeques, stoves, or lanterns, as well as pellet stoves and grills, provided they are at least 10 feet from combustible materials, can be turned off at the fuel source, and leave no residual fire.
