Description
The City of Fairbanks is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive inspection, testing, assessment, and limited corrective services for its fire sprinkler and associated fire protection systems across various city facilities. The objective is to ensure compliance with the 2018 International Fire Code and NFPA 25 (2017 edition), identify deficiencies, perform minor corrections where feasible, and develop a prioritized corrective action plan for future maintenance and capital improvements. Services include performing required NFPA 25 inspections and tests, identifying and documenting all deficiencies, and completing minor corrective actions such as replacing signage or gauges when authorized. A detailed corrective action plan will be required, prioritizing deficiencies by urgency and impact. Inspection reports must be submitted electronically to The Compliance Engine. The contract term is initially three years, with the option for two additional one-year renewals, subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. The City anticipates awarding the contract as a whole to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
