Description
The Texas Military Department (TMD) is soliciting bids for comprehensive fire protection equipment and systems services at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas. This includes maintenance, repairs, and replacements for fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, fire hydrants, and accordion and rolling fire doors. Annual inspections of fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, suppression systems, and fire extinguishers are also required. The scope of work encompasses ensuring all services comply with relevant federal, state, and local codes and standards, including NFPA codes. Technicians must be properly licensed in Texas, and all work must adhere to OSHA standards. The contractor will be responsible for performing all services with minimal interruption to operations, maintaining a clean work environment, and proper disposal of all debris and waste products in accordance with all applicable laws. Deliverables include comprehensive inspection reports, replacements of fire extinguishers and fire hydrants, packing replacement for a specific fire pump, and hydrostatic testing of the Fire Department Connection. The contractor must also diagnose and repair issues with accordion and rolling fire doors. All work is subject to final inspection by the TMD Fire Marshal.
