Description
Sarasota County is seeking to procure smoke alarms and fire detectors to support the Sarasota County Fire Department's Community Risk Reduction (CRR) Program. This is anticipated to be a one-time purchase, funded through a Fiscal Year 2024 Fire Prevention & Safety (FP&S) Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The solicitation specifies two types of units: standard units with photoelectric sensors, 10-year lithium batteries, and compliance with NFPA 101, NFPA 72, and UL 217 standards; and hearing-impaired units with integrated bedside alarms, clock functionality, and a bed-shaker feature, also compliant with the specified standards. All delivered products must be fully warranted for at least one year from the date of acceptance or the manufacturer's standard warranty period, whichever is greater. Defective units must be replaced or repaired within thirty (30) calendar days of identification.
