Description
The City of Lincoln, Lancaster County, and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Public Building Commission are requesting bids from qualified companies for the annual service of inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. This service will be performed at various locations throughout the city and county, including but not limited to, government buildings, libraries, fire stations, and public facilities. Vendors must be certified in accordance with applicable Nebraska state statutes, rules and regulations promulgated by the State Fire Marshal, and nationally recognized standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), specifically NFPA 25 for inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems, NFPA 13 for sprinkler system installation guidelines, and NFPA 72 for fire alarm system testing. Vendors must also comply with OSHA guidelines. Pricing shall not deviate from the bid for one year from the date of execution, with any price deviation after one year requiring a 60-day notification and amendment. All emergency requests must be responded to within a 2-hour period, 24 hours a day. Vendors will provide written documentation after each inspection/site visit and a one-year labor and material warranty for any repairs. Bidders must provide at least three current references, with one reference being from a correctional facility. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsible, responsive vendor whose bid substantially meets all required specifications.
