Description
The City of Webster Groves is soliciting proposals from qualified pyrotechnic and aerial fireworks vendors to furnish and display one annual July 4 fireworks show. The display must use Class 1.3 display fireworks, limit shells to no more than three inches in diameter, include a finale of at least 250 shells, and provide a detailed list of shells and cakes. The contractor must supply and deliver all fireworks, mortar tubes, and mortar racks; provide personnel certified to load and fire live fireworks; coordinate with the Webster Groves Fire Department; comply with applicable laws, permits, and NFPA 1123 and NFPA 1126; and perform setup, debris removal, and site cleanup. The proposal must include company and key personnel information, qualifications, at least five years of fireworks-display experience, five professional references from the past five years, management procedures, staffing and safety information, and pricing. The July 4 show cost proposal may not exceed $25,000. The agreement is scheduled to run from December 1, 2026, through July 31, 2029, with an option to extend through July 31, 2032. Required insurance includes workers’ compensation, general liability, automobile liability, umbrella coverage, and an original certificate naming the City as an additional insured. A $20,000 surety bond may be required after award.
