This Request for Information seeks industry interest and capability information for establishing a commercial supply of high-assay low-enriched uranium-molybdenum (HALEU U-10Mo) fuel for research and test reactors. Respondents may propose supplying alloyed U-10Mo, fabricating fuel plates and assemblies, or performing the complete alloy, plate, and assembly process in one facility, with the integrated capability preferred. Responses should describe organizational capabilities and experience; nuclear-material handling and fuel fabrication experience; facility availability, licensing, security, safety, quality assurance, and radiological programs; proposed equipment and facility requirements; implementation timelines and milestones; conceptual equipment layouts; operational challenges; and rough-order-of-magnitude facility development costs. A written letter of interest of fewer than 20 pages is requested, with proprietary or controlled information marked appropriately. Teams of multiple companies are acceptable.
