Description
The U.S. Navy is conducting a Sources Sought/RFI for vendors capable of manufacturing, testing, packaging, and delivering 100 MC91 loaded cartridge assemblies compatible with the MK 5 MOD 0 explosive bolt (M254) used in the AN/BST-1 buoy system. The requirement includes destructive qualification and acceptance test samples, nondestructive and radiographic testing, hermetic seal testing, packaging, and delivery of all units within one year after award. Vendors must be able to establish a manufacturing line and address applicable energetic-material handling, storage, licensing, tooling, inspection, and quality requirements. Responses must address production capacity and experience, availability of inert metal parts and validated energetic loading lines, lead times, ROM pricing, reliability and compatibility evidence, ATF licensing and explosive-storage capacity, compliance with DoD 4145.26-M, inspection capabilities, material sourcing, tooling requirements, and small-business/nonmanufacturer-rule compliance where applicable. The technical data package is export restricted and requires an approved DD Form 2345, a signed nondisclosure agreement, and an active CAGE code to obtain it. This is market research only and does not request proposals or commit the Government to an award.
