Description
The City of Frontenac is soliciting sealed bids for replacement of the Spoede Road Bridge over Deer Creek. The work includes removals, clearing and grubbing, grading, excavation, bridge construction, asphalt pavement, pedestrian decorative fencing, guardrail, rock blanket, pavement markings, concrete sidewalk, seeding and mulching, erosion control, and other related work. Bidders must be on the Missouri Department of Transportation Qualified Contractor List, and the contractor questionnaire must be on file seven days before bid opening. A certified or cashier's check or a bid bond equal to 5% of the proposal is required. The project has a 0% DBE goal, prohibits second-tier subcontracting, and requires applicable prevailing wages and a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program for on-site employees.
