Description
The City of Lafayette seeks a contractor to construct a High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) signal and associated intersection improvements. Work includes concrete sidewalks and ADA curb ramps, striping, signage, traffic and pedestrian control, erosion control, demolition, signal equipment and electrical service, and related materials and construction activities shown in the plans and specifications. The project also includes removal and resetting of existing items, irrigation adjustments, landscaping and restoration, surveying, and construction cleanup. Bidders must upload a completed Contractor’s Bid form and Bid Bond form with the bond attached. The bid guarantee is 5% of the bid; the successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price, and required insurance. The work is to be substantially completed within 210 days after the contract time begins, with final completion within 240 days. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required for eligibility for award.
