Description
Midland Independent School District is soliciting a firm-fixed-price, one-time turnkey purchase of walk-in coolers and freezers for multiple district schools. The scope includes furnishing specified or approved-equal equipment, shelving, refrigeration systems, doors, lighting, accessories, and related materials; disconnecting and removing existing walk-in equipment; delivery, staging, construction, installation, refrigeration piping, condensate drainage, electrical and plumbing connections, ventilation, pads, fabrication, permits, and final startup and verification. The vendor is responsible for the full turnkey scope, including design, permitting, and construction of the exterior concrete pad at Sam Houston. Installation must be performed by a factory-authorized installer or certified refrigeration specialist, and the completed areas must be left clean and operational. The proposal must include a title page, table of contents, company profile and experience, project approach and understanding of scope, at least three comparable references, a subcontractor/supplier list, required forms and certifications, and line-item pricing submitted through the electronic bidding system. Proposals are limited to 25 pages, must use at least 10-point Times New Roman font, include page numbers, and be signed by an authorized representative. A mandatory site visit is required; the vendor or an installer representing the vendor must attend one of the two scheduled visits and sign the official attendance log. The solicitation is a one-time purchase with no renewal or extension option, and equipment is expected to be delivered and installed no later than January 2027.
