Description
The City of Park Ridge is requesting proposals from qualified firms to evaluate the existing Fire Station 36 and site and develop architectural and engineering construction documents for renovation, expansion, partial or complete demolition, and/or replacement. The scope includes architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, landscape, fire protection, technology, surveying, permitting, cost estimating, bid-document preparation, bid assistance, construction administration, field observations, inspections, project management, and final as-built drawings. The facility is intended to serve as a durable municipal asset with an anticipated 50-year service life and must address firefighter health and safety, clean/warm/dirty zone separation, apparatus and operational areas, living and administrative spaces, training facilities, and Emergency Operations Center functions. Proposers must include a detailed continuity-of-operations plan addressing uninterrupted emergency response during construction, including phasing, temporary facilities or living quarters, apparatus placement, access and egress, administrative functions, training, and Emergency Operations Center capabilities. Proposals must include firm information, key-personnel resumes, five similar completed public-safety projects with client references, an understanding and technical approach, a project schedule, and the completed Cost Proposal Form. The contract term is one year following City Council approval and contract execution; construction administration and as-built services are contingent on the City proceeding with the project.
