Description
Allen County is soliciting bids for fall chemical spraying and vegetation control on 22 regulated drains. The work includes treating weeds, brush, cattails, and other affected vegetation from bank to bank, plus specified access easements; bidders must include any necessary de-brushing and access-issue resolution in their prices. Individual drain locations and quantities are identified in the attached bid-and-map documents, with lengths ranging from approximately 1,675 to 11,730 linear feet where stated. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, materials, herbicide handling and application, required permits, and safeguards; use treatments approved by the Indiana State Chemist; maintain spraying logs; and achieve at least an 85% kill rate, with re-spraying required at the contractor’s expense if that standard is not met. The submission package must include the completed contracts, signed affidavit, spray list identifying the drains bid, a current Category 6 chemical spray license or subcontract agreement, and a current certificate of liability insurance. The work is to be completed by October 30, 2026.
