Description
The City of Albany, through its Public Education and Government Access Oversight Board, is seeking proposals from two qualified entities or individuals to provide part-time cable television public access studio coordinator services. The selected provider will oversee the public access facility; monitor daily programming and channel playback; collect and schedule program materials; coordinate transmissions with Open Stage Media; maintain a regular public studio schedule; recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and members of the public in creating and editing programming; and support producers with pre-production and PEGAOB access forms. Administrative duties include tracking equipment, maintaining the facility and equipment-use database, developing tape-collection guidelines, conducting community outreach, maintaining programming records, submitting monthly reports, and ensuring required producer forms are completed. Proposals must include qualifications, assigned staff, licenses and certifications, at least three references, a signed cover letter, relevant experience, subcontracting information, a cost proposal, required certifications and statements, a living-wage commitment, and the completed proposal cover page. The contract is expected to begin in or about December 2026, run through December 31, 2028, and include two additional one-year extension options at the Board's discretion.
