Description
The City of Pismo Beach is soliciting an informal public works bid for the removal of approximately 140 identified trees along Calvin Court in Grover Beach. The scope includes safe tree felling, removal of designated stumps, chipping and recycling or disposal of tree material, basic grading, and cleanup of disturbed areas and adjacent paved surfaces. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, tools, transportation, disposal, and related services, and must provide landfill receipts and identify its proposed recycling, reuse, or disposal method. The work must be completed within 20 working days after notice to proceed: tree felling within the first 10 working days and stump removal, chipping/recycling, grading, and cleanup within the following 10 working days. Bidders must hold a California Class A, General Engineering, or C-49 Tree and Palm Contractor's License at award and must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations for public works. The successful contractor must obtain required insurance, a Grover Beach business license, and an encroachment permit; insurance certificates are required after award and are not part of the bid-time submission package.
