Description
This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) from the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) solicits research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) proposals. The announcement is open for one year and will be readvertised annually. NAVFAC EXWC focuses on delivering specialized facility, ocean system, and expeditionary solutions to support the warfighter. Eligible proposals must fall within applied research (Category 6.2), advanced technology development (Category 6.3), or advanced component development and prototypes (Category 6.4). The BAA covers thirteen distinct topic areas: 1. Expeditionary Construction, Battle Damage Repair, and Advance Naval Base Construction Technologies 2. Logistics Over the Shore Technologies 3. Waterfront Facilities and Systems 4. Undersea Facilities & Systems 5. Shore Facilities, Equipment & Systems 6. Facilities Inspections 7. Shore Energy Technology 8. Facilities Related Control Systems Cybersecurity and Cyber Warfare 9. Installation Restoration, Munitions Response, and Groundwater Management 10. Installation Compliance and Water Resource Management 11. Living Marine Resources 12. Marine Energy Development 13. Physical Security, Locks and Barriers Abstracts must be submitted via email to nicole.m.mendes2.civ@us.navy.mil and katelyn.t.rydberg.civ@us.navy.mil. Abstracts will be evaluated on scientific/technical merits, offeror qualifications, project plan, and topical alignment with command priorities. Offerors must have a Unique Entity ID (UEI) from SAM.gov. Abstracts are valid for one year from submission, and offerors will be notified within 3 months if a detailed proposal is requested.
