Description
The City of Maple Plain seeks a contractor to provide snow and ice removal for City-maintained streets, roadways, and designated public ways during the October 15, 2026, through June 1, 2027, service term. The scope includes automatic and City-directed plowing, snow removal and hauling, sanding and salting, pretreatment, downtown snow loading, cleanup of intersections and other confined areas, route monitoring, emergency response, service logging, and property restoration. Sidewalk and trail snow and ice removal are excluded and will be performed by the City. The contractor must provide appropriately sized plow trucks with truck-mounted snowplows for all initial and routine street-route plowing; skid steers and similar equipment may be used only for cleanup and detail work. Proposers must demonstrate sufficient primary and backup trucks, qualified operators, materials, staffing, 24-hour availability, and response capacity. The proposal must include company qualifications and references, an operations and response plan, completed equipment and price attachments, materials and restoration plans, subcontractor and insurance information, addenda acknowledgments, and a signed mandatory-equipment certification. Required insurance includes workers’ compensation, employers’ liability, commercial general liability of at least $1,500,000 per occurrence, and automobile liability of at least $1,500,000 per accident.
