Description
The City of Northfield is seeking a qualified professional planning and engineering team to develop a comprehensive Safe Streets and Roads for All Action Plan. The work includes project management; agency, stakeholder, and community collaboration; leadership goal setting; extensive public engagement; crash and safety analysis; policy and process assessment; identification and prioritization of roadway safety projects and strategies; concept development for six identified corridors and intersections; funding opportunity identification; and development of progress-monitoring and transparency methods. The consultant must conduct public meetings and community pop-up events, analyze crash patterns and high-risk locations across the city, prepare recommendations using a Safe Systems Approach, develop a publicly available final Action Plan and FHWA-compliant final report, provide digital deliverables and two bound hard copies, and retain working files for at least three years. The total project budget is $375,000, consisting of a $300,000 federal grant and a $75,000 local match.
