Description
The City of Lubbock is soliciting on-call, seasonal services to spray and remove bees and hives located in or on top of City water meter boxes. The City estimates approximately 100 to 150 affected meter boxes annually, with service requests issued daily or as needed. The contractor must respond primarily during normal business hours and occasionally after hours for emergencies, provide all chemicals and materials, use chemicals that are non-toxic to humans and animals, and achieve safe access to each meter box for one season after one application. The contractor must hold a current Texas state applicator's license and have at least two years of experience. Current Safety Data Sheets must be provided for hazardous chemicals, and recent references for similar contracts are requested. The contract is for one year with four optional one-year extensions; compensation and service volume are not guaranteed.
