Description
The City of Lubbock is soliciting bids for recurring maintenance of a stormwater detention basin. The contractor must mow turf to a four-inch height; mulch or bag clippings; edge curbs and drainage channels; trim around trees, plant beds, buildings, signs, fences, and other structures; remove litter and debris; sweep hard surfaces; and prevent clippings or debris from entering streets, aquatic areas, or plant beds. The contractor is also responsible for disposal or recycling of collected materials and must maintain a five-foot buffer of undisturbed natural vegetation between disturbed areas and the Playa Lake. The contractor must provide equipment subject to approval, submit a maintenance schedule, begin maintenance within 10 days after receiving the notice to proceed, and provide before-and-after photographic records for each mowing frequency. Anticipated mowing frequencies range from zero to two services per month depending on the month. The contract term is one year with four one-year extension options, and the City does not guarantee a minimum or maximum quantity of services.
