Description
The City of Lubbock is soliciting a contractor to replace the MCC-100 electrical system at the Southeast Water Reclamation Plant. The scope includes replacement of the 480-volt motor control center and associated cable and conduit; one 480V-to-120/240V dry-type transformer; two low-voltage panelboards; two flow meters; six level transmitters; electrical-room lighting; and medium-voltage fuses in primary unit substations 1TL3 and 2TL3. The contractor must furnish labor, materials, installation, demolition, temporary power and controls, testing, startup, training, and coordination needed to deliver a complete and operational system. The work must maintain continuous wastewater-plant operations, with specified critical equipment generally limited to two hours without power. Required activities include electrical demolition, installation of power and control wiring, cable tray and grounding systems, electrical system testing, short-circuit and protective-device coordination studies, load-flow and motor-starting studies, arc-flash analysis, commissioning, and operation and maintenance documentation. The estimated construction budget is $995,500, and the stated completion limits are 335 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion and 365 consecutive calendar days to final completion.
