Description
The Florida Department of Transportation, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, is soliciting bids for the purchase of state and federal freshwater herbaceous and forested wetland mitigation functional credits. These credits are intended to offset approximately 30 acres of impacts to state and/or federal qualifying freshwater herbaceous and forested wetlands for projects within the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) Lake Okeechobee Cumulative Impact Basin and the USGS Kissimmee Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) 8#03090101. This is an indefinite quantities contract, meaning the Department does not guarantee a specific quantity of credits to be purchased. The contract is anticipated to be for an initial term of three years following the issuance of the first Task Work Order (TWO). Vendors must possess a valid state and/or federal wetland mitigation banking permit and maintain a current ledger of available credits. Credits must be certified using UMAM, WRAP, or MWRAP assessment methodology. The vendor must also maintain a service area that geographically encompasses the project's wetland impacts or provide written verification from SFWMD and/or ACOE that their credits are acceptable for offsetting these impacts.
