Description

The County of Volusia is seeking qualified contractors to provide pressure washing and soft-wash services for its buildings, structures, and exterior surfaces. This will be a master agreement available for use by all County departments, including Facilities Management, Library Services, Coastal Division, Solid Waste Division, Votran, Information Technology, Daytona Beach Ocean Center, and Daytona Beach International Airport. The intent of this solicitation is to establish competitively awarded pricing and standardized service expectations for routine, scheduled, and as-needed exterior cleaning services. Services will encompass labor, supervision, equipment, materials, chemicals, and all incidentals necessary for the work. The scope includes cleaning of exteriors to remove mildew, algae, mold, dirt, atmospheric staining, insect nests, cobwebs, bird droppings, gum, environmental pollutants, and other organic and inorganic buildup. Specific services will include cleaning of exterior building walls, entryways, architectural elements, stairwells, walkways, window frames, canopies, structural steel, and elevator/stair tower exteriors. Pressure washing requirements specify a maximum of 3,000 PSI unless approved otherwise, with adjustments made for different substrates. Soft-wash methods will be used for roofs, EIFS surfaces, delicate architectural finishes, and other designated areas, utilizing environmentally safe chemicals and low-pressure rinsing.
