Description
The San Antonio Water System is soliciting bids for an annual contract to furnish and deliver 3-inch-by-5-inch bedding stone, primarily composed of crushed limestone. The stone is intended mainly for construction entrances and may also be used for road construction over difficult terrain. Bidders must meet the specified sieve gradation requirements and provide three samples of different crushed limestone materials in labeled, lidded five-gallon buckets for evaluation. The contract has a one-year initial term, with up to four additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement. Estimated demand is 2,000 tons, ordered as needed; this is an estimate and does not guarantee purchases. Bidders must state their delivery timeframe after receipt of a purchase order and provide at least three references for recent, relevant projects of similar type and scope. The award is intended for the responsive, responsible bidder offering the overall lowest price.
