Description
Sacramento County is soliciting bids for the complete upfit and final-stage manufacture of five County-owned Utilimaster step vans on 2026 Freightliner custom chassis: one 14-foot upfit, three 16-foot upfits, and one 18-foot upfit. The contractor must provide and install custom steel shelving, cabinets, drawers, tool storage, work benches, storage compartments, steps, brackets, hitches, and related body components in accordance with the attached specifications and drawings. The scope also includes auxiliary power and battery systems, inverters, generators or welder equipment where specified, water storage systems, electrical and lighting systems, GFCI outlets, wiring, reflectors, safety equipment mounting, labeling, transportation between the County facility and the contractor’s shop, inspections, manuals, warranty support, and delivery of fully functional completed vans. The bid requires a user list, warranty information, lead-time information, required certifications and questionnaires, pricing for parts/materials and fabrication/installation labor, and electronic submission through the County’s procurement portal. The solicitation evaluates responsiveness, responsibility, emissions compliance, warranty and service support, delivery lead time, user references, and past performance.
