Description
The City of Omaha is soliciting bids for one new, unused 12-cubic-yard single-engine combination sewer and catch basin cleaner. The vehicle must include a positive-displacement vacuum system, hydraulically driven high-pressure water pump, enclosed debris body, self-contained water supply, front operating station, vacuum boom, hose reel, sewer and vacuum tools, safety controls, and a specified heavy-duty truck chassis. The specifications require a 2026 or 2027 model, allow equivalent equipment subject to approval, and require original manufacturer brochures and sufficient technical literature to demonstrate compliance. The bid also requires delivery timing, descriptive literature, proof of Nebraska motor-vehicle dealer and manufacturer/distributor licensing, a trade-in valuation for an existing combination sewer cleaner, and training for designated personnel. A bid bond or acceptable substitute is required at 5% of the total bid when the bid is $50,000 or more; a copy must be uploaded electronically and the original must be delivered to the City Clerk within seven calendar days after closing. Required response materials also include the completed and digitally signed Responsible Contractor Compliance Form, a notarized Employee Classification Act affidavit, and two copies of descriptive literature. Local vendors with relevant sales and service experience are preferred.
