Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service seeks a contractor to perform new electronic security system installations at the U.S. National Arboretum and repair and preventive maintenance at both the National Arboretum and the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center. The work includes maintaining LenelS2 OnGuard access-control and intrusion-detection systems; repairing magnetic locks, contacts, glass-break sensors, door hardware, AI phone systems, and related components; installing card readers, request-to-exit devices, locking devices, and a duress button; and assessing existing cameras and conduit for potential replacement with IP cameras integrated with Milestone Systems XProtect. The contractor must provide LenelS2 OnGuard and Milestone Systems XProtect value-added reseller experience, identify the applicable Milestone partner tier, provide LenelS2 Professional-certified technicians and a dedicated technician, and submit a technical approach, complete pricing, and past-performance information. Amendment 0001 removes the separate $15,000 parts and $35,000 services-labor line items and provides that in-scope additional work will be handled through negotiated change orders. It adds updated wage determinations for Maryland and the District of Columbia, a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan, and Q&A. The contract is firm-fixed-price for one year, with work to begin within 10 calendar days after notice to proceed and be completed within 365 calendar days after notice to proceed. Priority repairs are due within 30 calendar days after award, and the camera-replacement cost quote is due within 90 days after award.
