Description
Grey County is seeking one qualified bidder to harvest and purchase marked timber from Sunken Lake Forest. The specified harvest includes white pine, red pine, and ash, totaling 622 trees and approximately 622 cubic metres of volume as listed in the bid document. The work includes cutting only marked trees, processing tops, skidding and removing harvested wood, protecting residual trees and County property, maintaining roads, trails, and watercourses, and repairing any damage caused by operations. The successful bidder must pay the full bid price before cutting begins, comply with applicable municipal, provincial, federal, CFIA, workplace-safety, and logging requirements, obtain required permits and certificates, and complete operations within one year after payment. Whole-tree skidding is prohibited, logs may not exceed 36 feet, and harvesting is prohibited from April 1 through August 1 inclusive. The submission must include the completed Quotation and Pricing Form, Bidder Information Form, and a bid deposit equal to at least 10% of the total bid. Insurance, WSIB documentation, and emergency-contact information are required after award and before harvesting begins.
